It's that good. Just got my order today and did a bit of pampering. The scrub was exfoliating, but moisturizing as well. I mixed the face mask with cream and honey and loved that I could lick my lips because it's Good Stuff. Lastly, the oil!! This oil is light, smells wonderful and left me glowing. I plan on doing this weekly - love, love, love it!
Autumnal Transition Facial
Autumnal Transition Facial
3 steps to a flawless fall face
Time to pumpkin spice things up!
As summer makes way for fall, blemishes and dry skin begin to make a comeback. Breakouts can surge in like a hurricane and, in some cases, our oil glands trigger a response of overproduction. Our summer tan fades away, losing tone and hydration. Fall can bring sporadic weather patterns – warm temperatures followed by cool, windy days – our skin is thirsting for moisture and hydration that gives it it’s healthy glow. Nature has a way to give us what we need when we need it and in the Fall it gives us PUMPKINS!
Why Pumpkin? Why now? With the change of seasons comes a change in our skin’s needs. Temperature, humidity, UV, and wind are all environmental factors that effect our skin and pumpkin is the answer for the autumnal transition. Pumpkin Contains fruit enzymes and alpha hydroxy acids, which increase cell turnover, to brighten and smooth the skin to keep it as vibrant as it was in the summer months. Antioxidant vitamin A and Vitamin C help soften + soothe the skin to boost collagen production to prevent the signs of aging, and zinc to counteract acne when our skin starts to produce more oil during the temperature swings.
Step 1: Exfoliate with Pumpkin Seed Scrub Did you know that pumpkins are full of enzymes that naturally exfoliate your skin? Yup! With the added help of sugar, this exfoliant sloughs off dead skin cells, releasing built up dirt + grim. This helps make way for fresh new skin cells, boosts circulation and lymphatic drainage, detoxes your skin while stimulating collagen production leaving your skin toned reveling a youthful glow! All this allows for future products to work their magic more efficiently.
How to use: This is the 1st of 3 steps in our autumn transition face care routine. rinse face with WARM water, gently massage scrub all over face, being sure to be extra gentle around eye area. Don't forget those hit those luscious LIPS TOO!
Step 2: Goop it on, Mask Time! This face mask is sure to deeply hydrate your skin leaving it silky smooth. As the mask sits the alpha hydroxy acids of the pumpkin pulp go to work turning you into a glowing goddess, naturally exfoliating, locking in moisture and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The coconut milk's combination of high copper, vitamin c + e, and fatty acid content help to further reverse free radical damage and deliver loads of antiaging benefits to your skin. Silca packed horsetail, anti inflammatory calendula + chamomile, marshmallow root's high mucilage content, witch hazel tannins, and antiaging elderberry flowers are just what your skin is craving on these blustery fall days.
How to use: Mix 1 Tablespoon of powder with equal parts hot tap water or your choice of liquid and let sit until cool or while you are exfoliating with our pumpkin face polish. Apply a thick layer of the good goo to your face & let sit for 10 mins or until dry. Rinse with water. Follow up with pumpkin face oil.
Step 3: Lock it in! This face oil is formulated with of course pumpkin oil, but also other in-season oils like pomegranate and rosehip. Nature has a beautiful way of supplying us what we need when we need it most. All the oils we have used in this deeply nourishing oil do NOT clog your pores and benefits ALL skin types from acne to aging. Pomegranate has high levels of linoleic acid, which balances sebum levels. It also has punicic acid, which has high antioxidant and skin-protecting properties. These 2 acids are key during this time of year because our skin is going through the ringer. The temperature fluctuates from warm to cold, the air becomes dryer and the wind sucks out moisture as it blows by. It's no wonder our skin is confused, and kicks our sebum production into overdrive, or maybe it decides we don't need any oil at all. GAH! This oil gives you exactly what you need. Rosehip oil is also full of vitamin A, like Pumpkin oil, but it also has a ton of astringent properties that help tighten your pores and brighten your skin helping to maintain that summer toned look.
How to use: Apply a few pumps of oil to finger tips. With light pressure massage oil in circular motions all over face. Using the ring fingers to gently pat oil around the eye area. Let skin fully absorb the oil through the night or before applying makeup.
