Fall: Take Nature's Cue

Fall is a beautiful season, when nature shows us its vibrant colors and prepares for a long winter. Things naturally slow-down a bit as the summer's sun energy starts to fade. Fall is a magical season and it provides us an opportunity when we can learn from nature and follow its example. Fall is a time to slow down a bit unwind, relax and self-care.

Maybe it's because I have little's in school and there's a certain ritual and reset that happens this time of year. Our family reviews things that work and don't work, we let go of habits that don't suit our needs and work on new things that can help us or things that sparks our fire. Regardless though, it's always been a time when I go more inward and self-reflect. 

During this cooling-off season, remember to slow down, to let go of stress, to enjoy the present moment, and to take care of our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Let's honor our needs, our desires, and our dreams and treat ourselves with kindness, compassion, and love.

How can we unwind, relax and self-care in fall? There are many ways, but here are some suggestions:

  • Take a walk in nature. Fall is a great time to enjoy the beauty of nature, to breathe the fresh air, to listen to the birds, to feel the breeze, and to admire the changing colors of the leaves. Walking in nature can help us relax our muscles, clear our minds, and boost our mood.
  • Make a cozy home. Fall is a time to make our home cozy and comfortable, to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Making a cozy home can help us feel safe, calm, and happy.

These are just some of the ways we can unwind, relax and self-care in fall. But the most important thing is to find what works for us, what makes us happy, what fills us with joy.
